A.W. Tozer wrote in his book, "The Pursuit of God";
"In the Genesis account of the creation these are simply 'things'. They were made for man's use, but they were meant always to be external to the man and subservient to him. In the deep heart of the man was a shrine where none but God was worthy to come. Within him was God; without, a thousand gifts which God had showered upon him."
Often we get sidetracked by our possessions and we fail to seek after what really matters....GOD. Not that our possessions are bad, but the question is does our possessions 'possess' us? Where is our heart and where does our loyalty lie? If all we had was taken from us would we still seek the heart of God.
Think about it reflect on your own life's possessions.
